Katie is a warm, empathic, and genuine psychologist who provides clients with a safe therapeutic space in which to express themselves and feel understood. She works collaboratively and holistically with clients to make sense of their difficulties and to understand what keeps them stuck in distressing and unhelpful patterns, with the goal of empowering clients to make changes to establish more meaningful, satisfying lives.
Based on the individual client’s needs, Katie implements a range of therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Schema Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. In order to best support clients, Katie strikes a balance between providing practical strategies for clients to manage their daily difficulties and facilitating deeper work to explore the childhood and family origins of clients’ unhelpful patterns of behaviour and thinking.Katie helps with a range of issues, including

Katie is part of our Assessment Team, providing a range of psychometric assessments
Katie holds a Master of Clinical Psychology, and prior to that, completed a PhD that investigated the cognitive processes that underlie vulnerability to recurrent depression. She is a member of the Australian Psychological Society and the Australian Clinical Psychology Association.
